On the Art Trail I will be showing some of the work I did on the painting course in Sussex with Emily Ball. It was a fantastic opportunity to work in oils on location.
I am lucky to live in a stunning part of the world where the coastline and the fells of South Cumbria are on my doorstep. So, join me on this visual journey as I explore and document my interaction with the constantly shifting light and tides that make up my world.
My work is constantly evolving and shifting as I experiment with my own interpretations of the natural world around me. I aim to capture the essence or atmosphere of a place through sketches and photography which inform my memories back in the studio where the final pieces evolve using a wide variety of media.
